There are instances that pawnshops are only willing to give you 25% of your item’s worth. Lucky those who can get up to 60% of its value. In addition, valuation primarily takes place on the metal used, gold mainly. Not that they do not see the actual value of gemstones, but pawnshop businesses run in gold price essentially.
